I thought that the children could do this project before Thanksgiving dinner to use on the tables BUT it was too difficult for small hands. Since the pieces were NOT self-sticking, I tried to make a sample. I used various kinds of glues which did NOT hold so I had to buy double stick tape and I made all the adorable turkey baskets myself. The project is very cute but not for children to do easily. Their ages range from 6-10.

I could not get the turkey parts to stick to the bucket..I had wanted to use it to fill with mints and nuts and attach names for place cards. It took over 6 hours including drying time to semi-finish four. I needed to make 8 more. The turkey project kicked the bucket and is sitting on a shelf to be set out at our spring rummage sale!

This has a ton of pieces to glue. This is ok for adults, but difficult for kids. Not a good project for classes.

I got them for my Wed night bible class. I've got them ready and filled with goodies for my kids. Last year gave them the scarecrow bucket this year they'll get the turkey and maybe next year a pumpkin or haystck. I made them up. Not sure my 4 yr olds could do it.

I bought this craft to do with my class of 1st and 2nd graders and I ended up doing it myself because I had to hot glue it. The piece kept popping of and I kept having to reglue. Am definitely frustrated and wish I had bought something easier.
