So pretty!
I was surprised at how large these leaves are (guess I didn't read the description very carefully). They are so pretty. We mixed glue with water until I thought it was a good consistency and they turned out beautifully. My 7 and 5 year old kids are making them to decorate the house for fall. The kit comes with so many extra pieces of tissue paper that my kids decided to also decorate the inside foam sections of the leaves, which are supposed to be thrown away. We'll just add our own paper "stems." So, intead of 12 leaves, we'll have 36! The 12 made with the clear acetate are prettier in front of lights and/or windows, but the others work just fine.

fun but messy project
My 5 year old daughter loves arts and crafts. I bought these leaves for a playdate with her girlfriends from kindergartner. Each girl had fun but it was very messy. I found it easiest to put the glue on a plate and add a little water to thin it out. The girls then used a paint brush to put the glue mixture all over the plastic leaf, then add the tissue paper on top of the glue. There was enough for each girl to do several but after one they were done.

the glue takes forever to dry
i bought this is for a school project and i make one a week before they were supposed to make it at school and it took way too long for the glue to try. i bought some contact paper and traced the leaf and did it that way. it was much easier, esp if you are trying to make it in a short period of time.

Beautiful, but tricky
These leaves turned out great in my 2nd grade class, very festive! However, there was more "teacher" work than I normally like for art projects. The kids easily decorated the clear acetate, but then aligning the foam around the outside and gluing it was difficult. I ended up having to clothespin all three parts together, then had them glue the outsides, then I poked the holes for the strings. Overall, a good project if you have the time but don't expect the kids to do it all themselves if you want them to look like the photo :)

Great Fall Craft
Used these as a first grade classroom craft. Kids loved using a mixture of Elmers glue/water to put tissue paper on. Needed help alligning the foam "frame" and ribbon, but worth it. We're in south Florida and many kids don't see "fall" colors, so the entire school thought they were beautiful, especially when displayed in the window.

Great Craft
Great craft for all ages (even young tots.) I had to help the toddlers but they had alot of fun. Only negative remark: doesn't mention in description that additional supplies are needed. Make sure to have Modge Podge or craft glue glaze (glue and water) on hand for project. Beautiful window decorations!
