Fun accessory for pirate theme
The boxes were just the right size to fill with the set of gold coins I ordered and some old Mardi Gras beads. They made great pirate treasure chests.

Could be better
While I thought the detail and size of the chest was good, the glue to hold it together was awful. I ended up having to put tape on every area where there was glue. If the glue could actually be improved I would have given it 5 stars.

Will serve its purpose
I will use this for my religious ed class as a prize box. When assembling I decided that I will need to use additonal glue or double sided tape to help keep it held together. The pre stick tape doesn't keep it secure.

Tape the entire box
As a true tightwad, I prefer to recycle and not trash something like this little box. If you're looking for something to hold up for years without maintenance (read: lots of tape), this isn't it. My spouse uses this at his annual office Halloween party. We fill it with plastic coins. After 3 years and a few repairs with Scotch tape here and there, the box looked kinda ratty, so this year I used clear packing tape and taped every inch of the box; bent it back into shape, taped it again to stay that way; sprayed the inside with gold paint; and then added some black glitter. It's now ready for action next month and many more years to come as a silly prop that everyone loves.

Decent for the price
From the reviews here, and seeing it in a local party store, I had a good idea what to expect. The box itself is fairly sturdy, but the sticky tape used to hold it together is all but useless - understand and accept this and you're fine. It took me just a tiny bit of scotch tape and 2 staples (I wanted the lid a bit more secure) to make them solidly functional.
About the size of a large shoe box, with a slightly domed lid, for those curious on size.

Fun Box
I use my box for my Project Read Treasure Sentences. It is perfect for those. Yes, it is true that the box would not stay together, so I used a hot glue gun. The problem was solved. It works well for my instructional needs.
