Treasure Chest Magnet Craft Kit
Purchased this item for my sons 6th Birthday pirate party. The kids had a great time making them. Just used elmers glue to affix jewels and foam pieces. They turned out really cute!

I used this for my 7yr old son's birthday party. He loves to do arts and crafts and opened the kit and was able to assemble the pieces himself and grabbed the glue gun and went to town. We assembled each kit to the point that the kids at the party just had to use double sided glue dots to attach the jewels where they wanted them. Otherwise it would be too much of a project (time wise) to try and due at a kids birthday party. There were a few foam pieces missing so I had to trace the pieces that were missing using existing pieces from other kits with same color construction paper (in a pinch) worked out fine but was disappointed that some kids will get treasurer chests with construction paper made kits and other kids will get all foam but not the end of the world.

prep ahead of time
I bought about 50 of these for a library pirate party. Not one of the pre-packaged kits contained a magnet. Luckily, I had adhesive magnetic tape of my own to spare.
I did my sample using Elmer's glue. It did not hold well. For the life of me, I could not get the "pearls" to stick. I had the kids use Tacky Glue, so hopefully, theirs held up better.
All in all, you get what you pay for. Just make sure you check your supplies before the big event in case some items are missing.

Typical Foam Craft
I bought these for use in VBS. I put one together myself and could tell it would be tedious for little fingers. I'll use them for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. Regular Elmer's School glue held well on the foam. The only downside is it took a while to dry, so the kids won't be able to take them right away. It looked great when it was finished, just like the picture.
