Balloon Frame - Arch
Great Little Balloon Arch - Elementary Graduation
I researched renting an arch locally that I could tie balloons to but saw this when looking for balloons and decided to try it out. Putting it together was fairly easy but it is very important to make sure each tube is turned right before standing it up. Ours leaned back slightly because one tube was angled slightly off but the weights on the bottom kept it upright. I bought the disk style balloon connectors off EBay. They fit perfectly over the pipe (before putting it together). Made for easy connection and adjustments to get a good spiral design. Also important to have your balloons about the same size. We used roughly 36 connectors so about 144 12 inch balloons. I also bought the wide door streamer and tied it between balloons to provide a backdrop. We had the kids walk in front of the arch - not through it. It made a nice backdrop for pictures and kept the focus from being the back wall of the gym. We got RAVE reviews and plan to use it at the school for future 5th grade graduations. We hope that it continues to hold up. Take down was easy and it packs back up easily and back into its shipping box. It probably isn't sturdy enough for very active use or outside in winds, but for a "controlled" graduation in the gym it is great. I wish it was a little heavier gage pipe so I'd feel more secure about outside use. If we get two uses it will have paid for what the rental cost us.

I purchased two of these arch's and I was very shocked how well they worked. Very sturdy and easy to assemble. I will purchase two more!

We used this to make a balloon arch for the end of the year celebration. It was easy to put together and very durable. It will be nice to have something that can be used again and save on the cost of helium. If you fill the balloons with slightly less air, it is easier to twist them on the arch. It took about an hour to assemble the whole thing and fill it.
