Valentine Butterfly Ornament Craft Kit
Self Adhesive Foam Pieces?
Bought this craft kit because it said it had self adhesive parts. We were making a Valentine's craft during a preschool party. I was surprised that most of the craft required glue. We didn't have time for glue to dry. I had to get some fancy tape to hold it all together. Was a little disappointed. The improvisation required a lot of adult help.

This was another fun craft that I did with my sunday school class. They are ages 5 - 7. Although they liked the finished product, most of it needed to be glued by an adult (with a hot glue gun).

Glue didn't hold firm,, had to use stapler.. To expensive for the quality
Glue doesn't hold it firm,,, had to use stapler to secure butterfly.
For the price, not worth it.. Would not purchase again items like this

I bought this for a 3rd grade Brownie troop to do after a presentation on nature and (surprise!) butterflies. Thank goodness I tried it the night before!!!
There are several steps, all requiring glue, and several requiring that the glue dry on the previous step before proceeding. That alone would sink the project, IMHO.
But some of the gluing didn't make sense. For example, why not use self-adhesive paper for the decorations on the "wings"? And how on earth is the hanging ribbon going to stay attached with just glue to hold it on?!
Lastly, the two big heart "wings" (so cute, and part of what attracted me to this project) are only glued to the popsicle stick with a very small part of the foam. That is, a tiny little bit of glue on a tiny little part of the foam is supposed to hold up to the weight of the ENTIRE foam wing. It just ain't possible, folks...
Cute idea, bad execution...
