Great Idea!
I got these for my preschoolers on the first day. I was really happy to see the variety of colors...we're going to use the green pencils for the green table and so on...I think they're going to love the little extra surprise on the first day!.

These pencils do not sharpen well. I sharpened half the pencil down trying to get a point. They sharpen uneven too. I will not buy them again!

I was very disappointed in these pencils. I had a very difficult time sharpening them. Most of them would only sharpen on one side making it impossible to use. The students were very disappointed that they had to use the old fashioned #2 pencils.

Pencils
The quality of the wood in these pencils was very poor.
They kept breaking when I tried to sharpen them in
a variety of pencil sharpeners. A waste of my time and money.

Nice touch for Back-to-School
This will be the second year I've bought these for my students. We'll see if any of them remember. I teach middle school language arts and each student has one of these sitting on their desks when they arrive the first day. I make sure to have an extra pack for students who join us later in the year. My only complaints are that I wish there were fewer pink pencils (can't give a middle school boy a pink pencil!) in the mix and that the plasticy stuff that has the printing on it will clog the sharpener sometimes. Otherwise these are a nice touch to make students feel welcome and they're not terribly expensive. I can supply all of my students for about $20.
