HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Great tool for learning addition & subtraction with 2 digits!
I am a Math specialist in a public school and work with students from Kindergarten through 5th grade. These are durable, have easy-to-read numbers, and can be used for a variety of activities. To add numbers, for example 25 + 47, students can start at 25 and go DOWN 4 boxes (the tens' place of 47), and then ACROSS (RIGHT) 7 boxes (the ones' place of 47) to get 72. To subtract numbers, for example 84 - 26, students start at 84 and then go UP 2 boxes (the tens' place of 26) and then go BACK (LEFT) 6 boxes to get 58. This helps students to see the relationships of tens (up or down) and ones (right or left). The blank side can be used for students to determine where a particular number should be placed. For example, the number 13 would be in the second row, in the third box. This helps students to think in TENS, understanding that each row has 10 numbers. Great tool, very durable, and reasonably priced. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
