BEST ANSWER: It is made of plastic (not paper) so it can be left out in the rain or get wet without being ruined. It comes in three pieces that can be used separately or together. We used only one piece and attached it to our wooden gate leading into our back yard. It clings pretty well but we also secured it with tape. we put it up for a pool party but ended up leaving it there for several weeks because we liked the way it looked. It was rained on many times and held up just fine.
