BEST ANSWER: It would be hard to use/hang tea lights inside the lantern but you could hang a glow stick.
How big are these lanterns, there is no mention of size. A bowling ball? A beach ball?

Is there anyway to make these stand up on their own as centerpieces? Could they be weighted down with a balloon weight or something?

BEST ANSWER: We apologize, these do not have a flat bottom once put together, you would need to put something under these to make a flat surface for these to be used as centerpieces.
There is no mention of lights, so can I assume it's just the empty paper lantern?

BEST ANSWER: There is a metal piece that goes inside the lantern and holds it open and is used for hanging. You could clip it To something to use it as a centerpiece.
