No sharp points and easy to paint for kids
Pictures of my umbrellas for a Wizard of Oz show. I liked them because they have not sharp edges or points and they are easy to paint for kids.

Looks cute but not 28 inches, mine measures 21" from top to bottom :(
I was sad the umbrella was smaller than stated, but it was a nice product.

Fun project
Fun project for a themed "April showers bring May flowers" party. Everyone had their names on their umbrellas with a hand drawn custom design and then kids ages 3-6 painted them.

After decorating the umbrella is there another step so that is should not get washed away in the rain?

BEST ANSWER: You would want to use a permanent paint or fabric paint on these to make them not wash in the rain.
Can I take the fabric off of these to replace with lace? I want to make parasols using lace and umbrella skeletons. So is the fabric removable without damaging the frame?

Do the umbrellas have that small metal piece to hold it open (the little triangle piece) or do they just slide open and shut easily without having to push that metal piece in to close. We are hoping to use these for a dance routine and need to be able to slide open and shut quickly and easily. ?
