Have logo printed on the outside
I ordered 3 packages of these eggs and intended to just decorate the outside with ribbon, however the oriental trading co. logo was stamped on each one so I didn't end up using them and I will return. Also 2 egg out of the 36 were not correctly formed and unusable.

Doesn’t close well. Too tight.
I love the eco look, but they do not close well. The top and bottom don’t fit together. Once you finally squeeze the top on it’s almost impossible to get it off without destroying the egg. Not easy for kids to open.

If this product could of closed properly it will be a five star rating. Some of the eggs were able to closed and some could not. We had to bend some of the eggs to fit making the egg more like a square than an oval. The ones that had no problem made it a perfect kids project. It is a beautiful craft but some of the eggs pieces could not fit together.

Most will not fit together, many have weak spots
Only 8 out of 24 eggs fit together, the tops are too big for the bottoms. Some of the eggs have a very thin spot that breaks when you try to put them together. I was thinking of painting them, but I am afraid that anything wet might weaken the paper or swell the paper making it impossible to get back together. I think these could be nice, but the price is very high for the few number of eggs that are usable. Order about 3x the number you need.

Great, for the price...
For the price, these were great. My only issue was they didn't open and close easily. They were a pretty tight fit, so I improvised with decorations around the seal (picture of one attached, for example). But they were a great deal and a lot of fun for my girls and I to decorate.

They do fit together ptoperly. Bottom half is slightly larger than top half. The lip on some of the bottoms are crooked. The texture of the outside feel grainy.

Would crayons work to draw on these?

  • BEST ANSWER: Yes, I let my boys color them with crayons, we used paint, and markers. I will say that they are made from cardboard so if the children are excessive with the markers it does tend to make the egg a bit flimsy from absorbing so much of the marker.

I was wondering that the inside dimensions of the egg are, like the inside diameter and the length between top and bottom. I understand the egg is 3", but I am assuming that is the outside height.

  • BEST ANSWER: The inside is approximately 2-3/4" long and 2-1/8" in diameter. The eggs are 1 millimeter thick.
