Had to use glue instead of everything coming with sticky tape.
I like the crafts where everything has sticky tape. (for my 3 year old toddler) This one you had to use too much glue. A 3 year old is not good at gluing and has no patience to let the glue dry. Fell apart a lot. Yeah, was not fun.

Poor Quality Kit
Instructions said magnet included, but there was no magnet. It was impossible for the kids to complete the kit.

Good for preschool insect unit with a little additional help
Overall we enjoy this project, but there are magnets included and either I missed them or the directions for which side of the magnet that needed to be glued to the close pin was missing. Consequently we had to take many of them apart and re-glue the magnets

These are so cute and fun for the kids!
I bought these for kids in elementary school and they had a blast! We talked about butterflies and how they start out. Great lesson and the perfect craft/activity! It's so nice to have it all ready and it came with extra parts !

Needs specia glue even for the stick on magnet
We tried every glue the kids could use and nothing would work except hot glue - even the stick on magnet would not stick to the wood without hot glue - I had to have the kids use their glue and then hot glue it after so they still got to create it but it would stay together - its the materials and there is not way around it really - these are still cute and the hot glue is guaranteed not to fall apart

1 question
What size glue dots are needed? Does it work for the whole kit, not only for the Pom-Poms? Do the dots stick badly to the kids fingers?
Sommerfugl | September 14th, 2015
  • BEST ANSWER: Small glue dots would work best. They are super easy to use and mess-free! They don't really stick to your hands because of the natural oils in your skin.
