Beautiful and inexpensive Advent calendar for children's groups.
The Advent calendar with story was exactly as described in the description. It was the perfect thing our church was looking for to hand out to families (both members and visitors who may or may not have heard of an Advent calendar before) who attended a celebration of our expanding Children's Ministry. It was small enough to be held and used by children, yet well made to last through 25 days of opening the little windows. The mini scene in each window with the daily description was easily read and understood by our 6 year old granddaughter. We liked the extra informational pages, showing families how to use an Advent calendar during the 25 days leading up to Christmas and a list of ways a family can reach out to others, plus a Christmas hymn and the Biblical story of Christmas from the book of Luke in the Bible. Beautiful and inexpensive!

I buy these every year for my religion class students and the kids love it as do their parents. The story included with this Advent Calendar teaches the kids about Advent.

It was crowded in Bethlehem. 13. There was no room at the inn. 14. "Sleep in my stable" said the innkeeper. 15. Gentle animals surrounded Mary and Joseph. 16. That night the baby Jesus was born. 17. Shepherds were watching sheep in the fields. 18. Suddenly an angel appeared in the sky. 19. The angel told the shepherds,"I bring good news!" 20. A choir of angels sang joyously. 21. A star shone over where Jesus was born. 22. Three wise men followed a bright star. 23. When they found Jesus they worshipped him. 24. They brought gold, frankincense and myrrh. 25. "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace and goodwill..."
