Are these mugs machine washable, or only washable by hand?

BEST ANSWER: I believe they say hand wash only. We have risked taking out the middle portion and putting that on a top rack without incident. We have only wiped off the outer piece by hand.
Are these intended for hot and/or cold beverages?

BEST ANSWER: I would not put these in the microwave, they are 2 different plastics and seems like a bad idea.

BEST ANSWER: They snap together. We have not washed the pieces together because I was concerned the paper would get wet.
Can I put a 3X5 photo inside of this?
