Didn't go far enough
Great boat to paint, bit the paddles didn't operate smoothly so the boat doesn't go very far. I called customer service and they were kind enough to refund my money. Very satisfied with Oriental Trading!

Summer camp hit!!
I purchased these boats for a kids camp activity ages 12 to 16. The girls loved decorating the boats with sharpies, which did not bleed or run when wet. The boys wanted to race them, which took some creativity to accomplish. I put metal washers on each side of the paddles to keep propellers stable ( the weight helped also). The boats move, but not too far, so we used water squirters to move boats further and race them. It's was a lot of fun!!

Paddle Boats do Float!
These are cute and got the job done-we used them for a density experiment and these were definitely easier than the couple of popsicle stick ones I had to make by hand even if getting the rubber bands in place is a tad tricky. Worth it, would buy again.

The parts are easy and quick to assemble. The children cannot wait until their summer inflatable swimming pool is outside and ready to go!

Failed paddleboats
Bought these for our visit to the lake. Kids had fun painting them but got so frustrated trying to get them to work in the water. We tried several ways of attaching rubber bands but none were successful. Would not purchase again. In fact, I’d like to return mine!

Cute item
The rubber band powered boats are a great craft for our youth group Sunday school lesson. They are super cute and ideal. The only negative is that the rubber band was a bit difficult for the kids to install. But with some mentoring, we got them to work.
