Color of pencils was off
The color wasn’t Aqua that I requested. I purposely ordered the aqua color and instead got another shade of blue.

I'm VERY disappointed.
Liked the bright red finish, and the crisp, clear lettering. DISLIKEs: (1) the "lead/graphite" core is NOT in the center of the wooden sheath of the pencil. This error reflects is a VERY poor quality control in the 'manufacturing' process, and results in uneven and too-frequent sharpening. It makes for a very non-aesthetic writing instrument. (2) Another DISLIKE is that the lead itself is too "hard" resulting in VERY light impressions when writing.

These Pencils Pop!
I ordered 12 dozen of these pencils in blue as gift items for our club's holiday bags. The white lettering really popped on the blue background, making an outstanding item in the gift bags. The pencils are true #2 which means the lead will hold up over time and produce great lettering or drawings. The items were packaged well for shipping and came exactly on time. Thanks Oriental Trading, my very first order from your company and I totally satisfied new customer!!

Watch color
The actual pencil color is more blue than purple. We wanted them to look like KSU royal purple.

Just OK
They are OK, but not 100% what I expected. The photo showed I would receive purple pencils with purple erasers, but instead, the erasers on the pencils I received were white. In addition, the purple color wasn't as bright as shown in the product photo. I was disappointed.

Much improved from 6 years ago!
Six years ago, I bought a gross (12 dozen/144 pencils) in 12 different colors. They were fun and the students liked them but I thought they were difficult to read and some carvings looked better than others. Fast forward to today. I ordered 4 sets, instead, to see if they improved at all. I'm happy to say that the letters are much easier to read! I haven't given them away, yet. I'm waiting for Christmas. So, I don't know, yet, about the quality. But they do look nice!!!

  • BEST ANSWER: We apologize, this item has the lettering engraved in them so it would be the color of the wood. We do not currently offer any with white writing.
