They are quite accurate 2" blocks, firm and soft to the touch. The color is throughout the block (not painted on) and the foam is firm. When crushed the block does not quite recover its original size but it takes a fair amount of pressure to compress.

These are not 2" CUBES. They are "about" 2" blocks.
I bought theses blocks with specific project in mind. The description says they are 2" blocks. They aren't. However, these blocks are in NO way uniform cubes. I placed a stack of 6 blue blocks next to a stack of 6 green blocks. The blue stack was 3/8" shorter than the green stack. It was very noticeable. I checked the measurements off the blocks and they vary by as much as 1/8" Maybe not a big deal to a bunch of 3-7 year old kids, but they aren't going to work for my project.

Cat likes them
I got for me to play with, but found the cat likes them too. They tend to pick up dust and hair from the carpet, but wash of good.
i got them to stack and partly to use for size reference for things in photos, i did take some photos of them, they are definitely 2 inches, i dented on on purpose but it doesnt seem that bad to me, very nice colors too

Great Purchase!
This product has been a great addition to our 4 year old autistic grandson's toy collection. He plays with the blocks every day. The perceptual, tactile and fine motor control improvements that have been made since he received the blocks are very encouraging.

Great Price!
I am using these to write sight words on for a "Roll and Record" activity in my classroom. After reading the reviews about the wording on the cubes I was reluctant to purchase them, however, I went ahead a bought them because the price was so much better than anywhere else. The wording is pretty small on the cubes so I do not see it as a problem for me. However, it would be nice if there was no writing.

Don't buy if you're using as dice!!!! only 5 useable sides!! So disappointing!!
On every block, 1 side stamped "Oriental Trading Company" msg with additional #s. That side of the cube is unuseable if you want these as dice!!

Good for our purposes
We used these blocks to make prayer cubes in our children's ministry. We printed simple prayers on colorful card stock and glued them to the sides of the cube, and the idea is that the children can roll the cube before the meal and say whatever prayer lands on top. The blocks worked nicely for this purpose.
However, I have to say that there is one huge flaw with these blocks and I believe another reviewer mentioned it. The company has printed their web address on one side of every single one of the blocks. Because we covered up the sides of the blocks, this didn't matter for us, but if these were being used for anything else, I'd imagine it would be rather annoying. So, take note of that depending one what you plan to use the blocks for.
