Have you considered changing the Maundy Thursday to Holy Thursday? My students are much more familiar with the Holy Thursday title.

BEST ANSWER: Catholics call it Holy Thursday because it is when Jesus showed us how to celebrate and commemorate His passion, death and resurrection, which led to our redemption. We celebrate that every day of the year at Mass when we believe that, while the bread and wine still look like bread and wine, it truly becomes the body and blood of Jesus and we are fed spiritually by it. (See John 6.) It has been, therefore, for 2000 years, the traditional name for it.
