Creative villages!
I have three sets of these - two Christmas and one Halloween. Love the endless possibilities. These are sturdy and can be removed from the base with an X-Acto, allowing them to be lit from inside and the interior walls to be painted. Paint does need to be applied carefully - the paper does tend to wrinkle with too much. It is also fun to find putz houses and recreate and customize.

  • BEST ANSWER: I purchased these last year for my granddaughters to paint. There are 4 walls to the houses so no, they are not open in the back. We talked about putting little battery operated tea lights in them, but I am not certain if they ultimately did that. The girls did a very nice job with them, and their mom put them out on display. I also purchased the trees for them to paint as well. It was a nice combo.
