A fun school project at a fair price
Fun! These pinwheels were a huge hit with first graders. My students enjoyed coring the pieces and were able to use crayons so no special materials were needed. Once assembled, they were excited to make them work. Some other reviewers stated that the pinwheels fall apart or that they wouldn't spin, but that wasn't my experience. The only drawbacks-an adult needs to assemble so that the holes don't tear and the provided directions are incorrect. I would order these again-they're great!

In the description of the item it says it makes 24, but it also says it only comes with 10 plastic handles. So does it make 24 individual pin wheels or 10 individual pin wheels?

Did you use crayons or markers for this? I am nervous markers will smudge if the card stock is glossy.

BEST ANSWER: The card stock is just a little glossy. I started the young children with crayons and the colors looked so dull that I switched to markers. The colors did not smudge and looked so much brighter. The kids were happier with their pinwheels.

BEST ANSWER: We do show that item is available for back order and will be back in August. Please call 1-800-228-2269 to place the item on back order. Our hours are Monday - Friday 6 AM - 10 PM CST and weekends from 7 AM - 10 PM CST.
Do these pinwheels come packaged by the pinwheel or are all the parts packaged together? I will be handing them out as prizes for a school carnival. If they are all packed together I will need to assemble before handing out.
