Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun These were super fun to make them to paint. I wouldn't have done it with out reading the previous reviews. You definitely need to clue the pieces as your building it. If you don't, it falls apart really easy. I used gorilla glue. At the point, kids didn't get a chance to participate. Glue order is strong. I used this for faster setting. Instructions were easy to follow. Size is just right. I would buy them again for future projects.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value & fun project I purchased these for a community event our store was hosting. They were challenging enough that they were not done in just 5 minutes but not so complicated that the kids gave up. These are a perfect project that will take about 20 min. for the kids to make and decorate. I would do these again!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I like the product. I DO LIKE THE PRODUCTS EXCEPT THE BIRDFEEDERS ARE A LITTLE SMALLER THAN I THOUGHT BUT I THINK THEY ARE ADORABLE. THE PRICE FOR A DOZEN IS REASONABLE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good project on a budget. Used for a Cub Scout project. Got what I expected for the price. Will probably only weather one Spring/ Summer but Kids had fun, birds ate...life is good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed I work with Special Needs adults and we purchased these to make for Mothers Day gifts. The wood split way too easy, most of the nails were bent and messed up, pieces and holes did not line up at all. I understand you get what you pay for, but am very disappointed in this product. We will have to go back and add wood glue or super glue to make these last as they are already falling apart and we haven't even painted them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good, but tricky to build The bird feeders are nice, but you have to put them together with nails which makes it a little tricky if you are not good at this type of thing. They should have provided screws, not nails. I would suggest also using wood glue to stays together for a long period of time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could of been better. The birdfeeders were out of a thin wood and if the kids did not hammer in the nail softly and straight, then the wood would crack. Plus the kit should of came with some wood glue or recommend to have some to help it stay together after ot was nailed together. Some of them fell apart when the kids picked them up so we had to put them back together again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cute but difficult I was really looking forward to this project with my students. However, I did not realize the work that had to be done. This is not recommended for young children. You have to hammer these houses together. Even as an adult, I am having a hard time putting it together. The wood keeps on splitting. Very disappointed about this. I would think twice before ordering. I may attempt to try hot glue and hopefully that will work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard to put together I ordered 48 of these for a Father's Day craft that dad's at preschool could do with their children. Thankfully I hot glued quite a few of them ahead of time and they just painted them. These are very difficult to put together...the nails are very short, the wood, even with predrilled holes was hard to nail through. I recommend only if you have a tiny hammer and a lot of patience. Great on small scale. (Kids could not do...teenagers, maybe)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great higher level activity Hi, this is the perfect activity if you are looking for something with a little bit of a challenge, and something that will take a little bit of time. it's not difficult, but it's not a quick, easy activity that's over in a few minutes. Purchased this for a girl scout campout and was a big hit. Girls loved it, as well as boys. There are nails and they have to use a hammer to put together, they loved it. Turned out good.

Questions & Answers

Does the Diy Unfinished Wood Bird Feeder Kits come unassembaled? Lokking for something to do with scouts. It would be perfect if they were unassembele

Asked by: Meissa
Yes it's a good project for scouts. Just did them at day camp. But purchase better nail for girls to use. Nails bend very easily. A few had trouble holding pieces in right spot. So we did teams or a small tack of hot glue
