Rated 5 out of 5 by from Annual purchase! I purchase these every year for 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds. So many ways to decorate them: crayons, markers, stickers, gems etc! The kids love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crafty crosses These crosses are nicely made loved the color and texture didn’t need to paint them white like I was planning to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LENTEN CENTERPIECES As Hospitality Chair at our church, we needed Lenten able centerpieces for our Fellowship Hall. We stained these crosses after distressing them to look more rugged. Then draped with a purple ribbon and glued to pieces of broken rocks and completed with a small trailing vine (not real). Rave reviews!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked well for our craft project We used the unfinished wood crosses for a craft activity on Grandparent's Day at school. Each student received a cross and their grown-up (grandparent, parent, special guest) helped them wrap the cross with yarn. I didn't realize at first, there is a groove across the base in front of the cross. We used the groove to prop up a prayer card, such as one recognizing a saint, or students could add their own card (we had cut card stock into 2" x 3" cards) with a prayer intention or a Bible verse they wanted to think about or memorize. Some of the crosses were more beat-up than others but that didn't matter for our project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great VBS project This is the second time that I have ordered these wood crosses. I absolutely love them!! The children can personalize them with paint and other embellishments and end up with a project that does not go in the trash as soon as they get home!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Craft Item! I purchased these for our VBS students. We had the 2nd grade & on up children paint & design their own. The preschool through 1st grade decorated them with stick on jewels & buttons. Overall they turned out really great! Well made & sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Neighborhood Kids These are wonderful crosses. Beautiful wood. I pulled out the crosses from the base so that I could wood burn on the base more easily. They were easy to reinsert with a little wood glue. I gave these as Easter gifts to the kids in the neighborhood. I affixed a small log cookie at the intersecting point on the cross. I wood burned a little girl or little boy saying night time prayers. I also made them good deed beads to go with the crosses using the wooden cross beads...another great purchase. Families were thrilled!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So many options What my students and I liked most about these crosses was the ability to customize them any way they wanted. We chose to paint ours but you could easily decorate them with jewels and such if you wanted. Just the right size for smaller hands too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very nice! truthfully I ordered these just to get my total up for free shipping, but I will be ordering again! They are much nicer than I expected and they can be painted or decorated in many ways. I am a florist and we use a lot of crosses in arrangements, especially for sympathy work, so these will be very very nice! Very happy!

Questions & Answers

Same question that was asked earlier--what is the width of each piece (not overall width). I am looking for a cross that I can glue pennies onto.

Asked by: JGAK
I think it would work if you weren't covering all four sides with pennies. If you cover the front, top, and bottom of the crossbar and front and both sides of the trunk it would fit.

What is the width of the cross (meaning the width of the wood pieces, not the total width across the horizontal piece)

Asked by: Laura2066
The trunk of the cross is 1/2" front to back (deep) and 5/8" side to side and 6-3/4" tall. The crossbar is 4-1/2" from edge to edge and 1/2" front to back and 5/8" from top to bottom. The base is 3-1/2" by 1-3/4" by 5/8". Total outside dimensions 7-1/4" tall by 4-1/2" wide by 1-3/4" deep.

Does the cross separate easily from the base?

Asked by: Firenze
The cross is attached to the base.
