Just awesome
These are the cutest little lizards I've ever seen! I'm using them for a summer nature program. The kids in my group will just love them. They're a little smaller than I pictured, but that's ok. We will decorate them with permanent markers, though acrylic paints would probably be better.

Great activity to keep kids busy
During our town's annual 4th of July weekend celebration with all sorts of food, arts & crafts, and service vendors, we set up a "Kids Crafts Room" for parents with small children. Although we also have the Oriental Trading bird houses, wind chimes, and pin wheels to assemble and paint, the kids seem to like the snakes and lizards best because they are the first ones we run out of every year.

Blind Sided by Lizard Purchase
Dear Oriental Trading, I am a fifth grade teacher and have been purchasing the wooden lizards from your company for several years. I am always excited to give these lizards to my students since they are durable enough for the kids to paint, play with, and use throughout the rest of the year. These lizards were perfect because they relate to a novel we read in class. This year, however, I was greatly disappointed by the fact that the lizards do not have eyes. This one feature made them so realistic and my students were always thrilled with the end result of painting them. It is very difficult for some 5th grade students to put eyes on a lizard so it looks realistic. Some gave up completely and were disappointed in their creature when finished. Please take time to reconsider this change in the lizard composition and add that small detail back in. This decision will add to the self esteem of many young kids who realize they are able to create an amazing creature that looks so realistic compared to a creature that they just want to throw away because it is a mess with no definite facial features. Please allow these lizards to regain their sight and bring hours of joy and happiness to future generations of kids!!
