Beach lovers rejoice! If you're looking for eye-catching summer beading projects, this unique and one-of-a-kind necklace will surely turn heads! Whether you live close to the beach, are visiting the beach, or just wish you could transport yourself to the salty air of the ocean, this handmade jewelry idea is for you! Featuring leather and a large sea shell pendant, this stylish necklace is sure to get you compliments all season long.

1. Remove the lobster clasp and chain from the leather necklaces leaving the jump rings attached. On one side of the necklace, attach the jump rings together.
2. Loosely intertwine the leather necklaces and attach the necklaces together with a jump ring. Glue the ends of the necklaces into the scarf end caps and allow time to dry.
3. Follow the directions on the patina paint packaging to paint the charms. While the paint is still wet, use a cloth or scrap of white tissue paper to wipe off the excess patina paint to give a weathered look. Allow time for the paint to dry.
4. To create the shell charm, carefully hammer a small hole into the top of the shell with a small nail or by using a drill with a small bit to create a hole.
Thread the shell and two round silver beads onto an eye pin. To attach the pendant to the necklace, tightly wrap the excess wire from the eye pin around one strand of the leather necklace. Attach a patina charm and a pearl on a headpin to the eye pin with a jump ring.
5. To attach the charms to the necklace, tightly wrap a large jump ring around a strand of the leather necklace.
6. To attach the beads to the necklace, thread bead onto a headpin and tightly wrap the excess around a strand of the leather cording.
7. Attach a lobster clasp and chain to the scarf cap ends to complete the necklace.
