Do not recommend
These are a very cute idea, and we were excited to use them with our Sunday School kids, however they were way too hard to scratch. The adults testing this out had a hard time scratching off the top layer to reveal the picture. We couldn't use the sets we purchased because of it. I would not recommend ordering these for lower elementary aged children.

Too difficult for kids to do!
These color scratch off eggs are not suitable for children because they are very difficult to scratch off even for an adult. I love the concept of the Easter story, but they were just too hard for kids!

Very Hard to Scratch
The top layer is difficult to scratch off. I ended up having to scratch all the eggs for the kids (kinda takes the fun out of the activity!) The included sticks don’t remove the top layer unless a LOT of pressure is applied (the muscles in my hand burned by the time I was done with a single egg). They also removed small bits of the clear middle plastic lining as well as the bottom paper layer the image is on. I tried using a quarter to scratch, but that didn’t work either.

Easter Illustrations for Kids
Colorful illustrations for the Easter story. BIBLE VERSES are legible. CARD STOCK is a bit soft, laminated on front, bendable. PICKS will take an ice age for kids to remove top coat. They may not be able to complete in a class. I used the round end of a nail file. Similar to the 'scratch and win' tickets. The NUMBERS sequence the images but once removed they are gone. Overall they work in a small class to teach the Easter story or Holy Week and I didn't have to draw them.
