BEST ANSWER: We used the Julius Caesar costume from Oriental Trading. It comes with a nice gold Laurel headpiece, gold wrists cuffs and a gold-trimmed white gown with a place to attach a shoulder drape. Instead of using the gold drape that comes with the costume, we used a yard of deep purple material. We also added a pair of men's sandals we found at a thrift store. We purchase long leather shoe laces, wrapped them around the legs of our Pontus Pilate and tied them to the sandals. With a little imagination you can create an authentic looking Pilate costume (starting with the nice, inexpensive gown from Oriental Trading). Best Wishes on your costume.
