Ended up taking tassels off to get balloon to stay up in the air

We ordered these for a bike parade. I used 1 Disposable Helium Tank (14.9 cu ft) to blow up 2 balloons. The tassels were so heavy, even with the balloon fully inflated, that we ended up taking 9 of the 11 tassels off just to get the balloon to stay up in the air. The 2nd balloon, we ended up taking 7 of the tassels off just to get the balloon to stay up in the air. I love the idea of this balloon but they require a ton of helium & you will need to take tassels off to keep the balloon in the air.

Are the tassels attached to the string? Could the red color be removed and the remaining tassels slid up?

BEST ANSWER: The tassels are attached to the string. You will be able to remove the red from the string and move the others up. We hope this helps you.
