Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Puzzle balls I would say the kids loved these. For I got them for prizes for good behavior. It was fun trying to watch them take the puzzle balls apart and put them back together. Even another class tried putting them back together. I will say though we are still working on one of the puzzle balls and still cannot figure it out to put it back together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Interesting and challenging assortment Excellent assortment for the price. The puzzles range in difficulty from sub-30 seconds solutions (good for timed competitions) to those requiring challenging dexterity and patience (...even cooperation for the "extra" hands). These were a big hit with 10-year olds

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Extremely hard to handle Some of the puzzles where fun but the were a few that were extremely hard to assemble. It's not that they were complicated to figure out how they go back together but the fact that you needed 3 or 4 hands to hold the pieces in place to do so. My husband and I spent an hour or so trying one and still failed because the pieces are so small and hard to hold.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from fun prizes for students I bought these to give to 5th grade students as a prize. They were more difficult to put back together than I thought they would be and the little paper with the instructions were difficult to follow. But the students did enjoy playing with them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Attractive Attractive and looks cute but flimsy material. Enough to provide brief distraction for patients in office.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good buy I bought these for my 5th grade students as a holiday gift. They loved the challenge. Not great quality. Very lightweight plastic but served the purpose.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to put back together I liked the price for the puzzles, but they are very hard to put back together, even after watching a You Tube video several times. I think with practice the puzzles can be put back together, but even for an adult, this proves to be rather difficult. We used the puzzles for my son's "Puzzle themed" 13th birthday party, which everyone seemed to enjoy receiving the puzzles as a party favor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too hard to figure out We bought these to hand out for halloween, but they are way too hard for kids to figure out. Would not buy again and will return it.

Questions & Answers

It says a dozen. Are they mixed variety? 3 of each?

none
Asked by: Jeff44z
Just as you surmised: 3 each of 4 different types

For what ages is this recommended?

Asked by: Fiddo
Age appropriateness varies within the assortment. For 10-year olds two of the puzzles ("ball" and "star") were fairly easy (and good for speed-solving competitions). The "gear" and "D-shapes" puzzles require dexterity and patience beyond what 10-year olds could manage.

The directions given for the gear looking puzzle make no sense. Is there a color coded set of directions?

Asked by: NisaCookies
Agree with your assessment of the instructions. Best to take apart methodically and observe. Four of the pieces are identical and the remaining two (the last to be used) vary in color, so color coded instructions will not help. The actual solution is not nearly as challenging as the dexterity required to solve.

Are they individually packaged and does each bring their own instructions? Who's the manufacturer?
