There isn’t support from the lid and the base... it came apart easily.

This pinata was/is very cute. It was easy to fill. It also seem to hold a lot of candy. I would definitely buy again.

Too cute to break...but we did anyway!
My grandchildren LOVED this pinata. It has a ton of room for lots of treats/toys and breaking it was a challenge but not so hard that it frustrated the kids. Perfect finale to a pirate themed party.

The perfect pirate piñata.
It was great for a 4th birthday. The way the “lid” is propped open makes it a little less stable. I loaded it up with way too much heavy chocolate, so it fell after just a few whacks. But with less filling, it would last longer.

Great pinata for our Association picnic. Our theme is Pirates of the Caribbean. Looks terrific. Can't wait to fill it and see the kids reaction.

Is the pinata the exact same one in the photo? Some of the reviews say it is not. Does it open like a real chest?

  • BEST ANSWER: No this does not open. You can cut a small hole in the top or in the crack between the top and bottom portion to fill with toys or candy.

I just received the piñata and it does not appear to open - how do we fill it?

  • BEST ANSWER: There is a little flap in the back about 1/3 way down. Mine had a sticker that said "fill here" but yours may be gone, feel around and you should find it. Good luck!
