Awesome little cars
I was nervous about buying these, because they look flat and weird and cheap in all-white on the website. But even though they look exactly the same in person, they're awesome once they're decorated. We used just different colored Sharpies for these. Some colors dried fairly matte, and some dried shiny and lustrous. I'm really happy with this purchase, and can't wait to share this activity with the kids at my son's upcoming Hot Wheels themed birthday party. There are 30 cars in the box, and when I sorted them, I had 10 different styles, 3 cars per style. Some of the styles are very difficult to tell apart. See attached images.

Really engaging project
We got these cars today, and ill-advisedly opened them up before bedtime. Our 7- and 9-year-old boys really enjoyed going at them with the sharpies (I think a 12-pack assorted colors) I'd purchased for the purpose. I think they colored six -- I colored one -- before they retired, eager to continue in the morning. They don't strike me as matchbox or hot wheels quality, and they're a little smaller. They roll well enough, and the boys are having a blast coloring them. Yes, about four designs.

You get what you pay for
I had high hopes for these cars. Ihave purchased from Oriental for many many years. I trusted the quality that I had come to rely on. These cars let me down. Less than half were usable. The unusable cars either didn't roll or turned immediately to one side or the other. They were cheap and proved the old saying 'you get what you pay for'. Those that worked were ok. But as I mentioned OVER half needed to be added to nations plastic waste pile.

Cars were a hit with the cub scouts!
Cub Scouts had a blast racing these cars. The dollar store markers didn’t really color very well - will use sharpies next time. Cars were fun even though the wheels ran a little wonky - one of the scouts suggested a front end wheel alignment on his. Would buy again!

Not really metal
They specifically stated these were metal cars in the description. I believe they have since added that they are plastic too. Unfortunately, we needed cars made of metal so these didn't work for us.

ok for a craft if you have some extras
Luckily we purchased two boxes of these cars for a VBS craft. About 10 of the cars had broken wheels. We had the kids decorate the cars and then "race" them. Please note, the cars are all plastic.
