I have to agree, this was a dud... the paint was like pudding and the handprints hardly would show up so we used a different washable paint..... need better paint and paper, would of been a lot better.... which stinks because you're paying for the paint and it did'nt work....

Cute Project!
The paint is a bit light in color- and more like painting with pudding. And the tree kind of starts to curl/roll a bit, since its cardstock. But, both are easy fixes (just used our regular green paint that we had and then just "unrolled" the tree a bit) and it turned out to be a great project! The grandparents LOVED getting a tree made from the kids' hands. And my 3 year old LOVED that she could make the whole tree project all by herself!

A huge disappointment
This was horrible. Looked adorable and I loved the idea. The tree was a cheap paper board. The paint was so "kid friendly" it didn't stick to the board... I let my kids color them and use foam pieces to decorate. There was no way to do what the picture shows. I love Oriental Trading and use them all the time... but this one was a dud!

A big disappointment
I'm a huge fan of Oriental Trading Co. But, this was a clunker. I tried this with my three year old, and wasn't half way thru when I realized the card board would never hold up to the paint (it began to bow almost immediately) AND that the paint was so poor it would barely adhere to the cardboard. I was so grateful I had ordered other crafts when I bought this one. These are a great idea but the products used to make them were really bad.

Great Idea
Really liked the concept, but...the paper trees were curled when they arrived and needed some time under a heavy box to flatten them out. The paint dried fairly light on the tree, too. Overall, it is a great idea for handprints, but just needs a little fine tuning.

I did not like the paint that was sent with the craft. It dried very light, but it was quick drying. Maybe if the paper that was sent was not so slick, it would of dried darker. Overall, the tree was a great keepsake for the kids' handprints. We did it for a kindergarten class.
