Fun and unusual, well worth the effort
This was a good project for slightly older children. I did not do the hand prints but opted only to have the children assemble the banner. We used glue sticks not PVA or a glue gun, these worked very well. There are several pieces, and it did require time and explanation, but the finished product was worth the effort. Additionally I offered to let the children glue crepe paper streamers to the bottom which added to the overall effect. Because the children spent a bit more time and effort on this activity I believe they enjoyed the final product more. Thanks OT for a clever project.

Lots of pieces
I purchased this product as a craft for 12 preschool children (ages 3 and 4). I ended up having to put the dragon together at home with a glue gun and then having the children do their handprints and glue everything together. You can not accomplish this activity in one day. The project is still cute but I will not do it again. Also, I received one blue piece of foam that had a hole in it and some of the ink ran onto other pieces but like I said, it still turned out cute.

Patience is Key
Fingerpaint on foam - this doesn't come off if there is a mistake made and the paint blends too much because of the way it soaks in. Pre-printed ink on foam - this is easily smudged and many came misprinted, slanted, or with lettering going off the sheet. Dragon - this is lots of little pieces of foam that need to be layered on (hot glue works best). With that said, we gave them as gifts for Chinese New Year and everyone adored them! They can still make people happy and they were a fun family project.
