fun and pretty
I have purchased these before and really enjoy the reaction I get when sharing with others. It is hard to find a craft that crafty people haven't seen before. This is the one! The markers run out of ink quickly, but it is worth the small price. It is a good toy to encourage manual dexterity/fine motor skills for young hands. The instant gratification lasts a long time.

great for thinkers
Have used these in the classroom for years. One drop of water from a pipette when markers dry out and they last and last. Those that complain about dry markers....uh, we are air breathers, and liquid evaporates into air. One drop of water half an hour before using, recap, and you are good to go. The problem spinning is a lack of fine motor skills, not the tops.

markers were dry
The spin markers are great, except all but 2 were dry and didn't write. Even the two that worked barely had any ink.

Great fun for kids and adults
I have bought several sets of these and will continue to purchase them. If the markers are dry I add a drop of water to the tip.

Ink Was Dried Out
I had purchased these previously several years ago and loved them, so I was very disappointed when I got these and the ink was all dried out. I called customer service and they replaced them, but the 2nd batch was no better.

dont waste your money
when top is spinning you cant even see the design it makes. the marker doesn't even write like a regular marker.

Disappointed
I was excited to get these pen tops for my 4 year old preschool class, to help work on their fine motor skills. But us teachers could barely get them to spin, and the ink in the markers was not bright or vivid, more like a marker after it has been dried out. I like the concept, just bummed with the quality.

FUN markers
The last bunch I bought were dry, so they were probably the same lot received by those who wrote bad reviews. All they needed was a quick drop of water on the tip and they were good to go. I reward the kids who have to come to our clinic for stitches (or whatever) and sometimes even before they are seen because of a long waiting period and they need a distraction. It occupies them for a long time and they are thrilled to get them. I will buy some more soon.
