great writing tool
The boards are shown upside down. If you turn them so the lines are at the top, then you can write on both lines. You can draw the picture at the bottom. They are perfect for beginning writers. I ordered one for every child in my class. They keep a dry erase marker in one hand and a sock on the other to erase. They write sentences and sometimes copy something I have written. These would be great to take on a mission trip to children who don't have access to many writing materials.

Disappointed
It was very disappointing that the lines rubbed off after only two uses. The students were really enjoying the boards until the lines started coming off.

Pretty Good Purchase
I bought these to do checks for understandings and writing practice (it's more fun to write on a white board than it is paper!) and they seem to be a pretty good purchase. They don't wipe off quite as well as I would like, but they were a great price compared to a lot of others I saw. I like the lines to help my kindergartners learn how to write letters.

Great Lap Boards
These lapboards are good quality. I wish they were double-sided and came with markers.

purchased for classroom
My only complaint of the boards is that the dry erase markers that I have used so far on the boards seem to leave the board stained the color that the marker was.

I bought these for my kindergarten class. After the 2nd time we used them, the children were erasing the black lines that are used as guides to write their letters. We are using old socks as erasers. Very plush. I was so disappointed to see that the lines are disappearing after only a second use.

Good for the price
I needed something inexpensive for my classroom. I hated all the paper being used for some quick word, letter, sentence practices. These work out fine. Mine are not warped as some other reviewer mentioned. Yes, there is no bottom line on the board, but this isn't a problem for me. I cut up some squares of leftover fleece fabric that I had and the kids use it to wipe off the boards.

not worth the money
I was disappointed in this purchase. I thought the lines would be helpful for the kids to practice writing. Actually only one line is usable as the bottom one is cut off. The boards do not lie flat making it difficult for the kids to write on. They do enjoy drawing on them but I could have bought a cheaper board to do that. Would not buy again.
