Fun Arts and Crafts Project
I purchased the flower lei craft kit for my preschool students to make. I was teaching a unit about Hawaii and this was the perfect craft for the theme. It was easy for each child to make since the kit comes with a plastic needle, string, straws and flowers. They all enjoyed making the leis and wearing them upon completion. I would recommend this kit for use in a classroom or party environment.

needed prep work by adult (me) to cut straws, thread needle, separate flowers - but still cute.

Fun craft
The overall quality of these was good. There were a few packages where all the flowers were so wrinkled that they were unusable. Luckily, I bought extra and the rest of the packages were great. The straws are not pre-cut, so you need to do it ahead of time. The girls loved this craft.

In 2 of my kits I was missing the needle that was needed to thread the necklace together. Make sure you check each one before you do the craft.
There were plenty of flowers that came in the kit. Check the kit out because of missing pieces though.

A bit of work, but not bad if you have small group
Did this for a school event with over 300 people. We should have reserved some time before the event for cutting straws and threading needles and other prep work so we would have been more prepared to handle so many kids. It all worked out though!! Pretty easy kit and good price.

OK for the price paid
Product was difficult for all the 9yr olds at the party to assemble. We were lucky we had enough adults to help out.

Inspect the product well before your event
This is a quick and easy craft, if you do a little prep work before the party. I cut the straws, strung each needle, and tied a straw to the end of the string to get each kit started, to save time at the party. If you have a large number of kits, this will be a little time-consuming but worth the effort to avoid frustrated kids later. For our small party, this only took a few minutes.
I was disappointed to find that 3 of the kits had mildew on the flowers. I tried using soap and water to wash the spots off some of the flowers but the mildew is stained into the fabric. Fortunately, there are enough flowers in the other kits (and an extra parts kit included) that we should have enough flowers to spare to make up for the stained flowers.
Otherwise, this a great craft for a Hawaiian-themed party.

Fun for kids
I purchased these kits for our Kinder class however knowing our limited time for a craft, this kit needs some prep work for kinders/preschool age children.
Straws will need to be pre-cut and most flowers will need to be separated. The colors are bright and the kids loved them. Great kid craft for school or if you just want to keep the kids busy for indoor play.
