Great Symbolic Item
These were bought as a symbolic item for expired time. So for my purpose there were perfect. Plus I liked the colors which were bright and noticable.

Good purchase
I really like the various colors that the timers come in. It teaches the children about colors as well as help them to time an object's progression.

Not even close to accurate
I was looking forward to using these in my classroom but was extremely disappointed. NONE of the 12 in my pack are 3 minutes. Some are as low as 1:30 and another is more than 7 minutes! I would not purchase these if you need something accurate.

Source of Inspiration
I collect hourglasses and sandtimers and use an intriguing one in front of my Sunday School Class (CCD) to time their weekly quizzes. The one I use measures 6-1/2 minutes. I'll be giving these 3-minute timers to motivate my students to spend time in prayer each evening and time in Bible study each morning. For eight-year-olds, a few minutes twice a day is quite a commitment. I hope this gift has a lifelong impact upon them.

Unpredictable 3 minutes
These timers are colorful and cute. However they are not dependable to actually time for three minutes. Some seem to get stuck and need shaking to get them going again.

Not accurate
I bought these timers for a session I was leading for a client. We tested them in advance as we needed them to measure exactly three minutes for an exercise. These timers have varying amounts of sand in them and therefore run from 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes.
If you're looking for a party favor, they'd be a fun addition to a goodie bag. However, if you're doing something that needs to be accurately timed, this is not your best option.
