Fun pencil cases
I gave these pencil cases, along with Smile Face Star Erasers, as an incentive prize for a program called STAReading. The pencil cases are really cute. These type of sliding zippers do not tend to last a very long time with kids (no matter where you get them) so don't expect great longevity, but they were perfect for my use. My son really likes his and it hasn't broken yet (after 1 month). The kids were all very exited to get them and they are using them. I haven't had any complaints.
I was nervous about the poor reviews on this site, so I ordered extra and I also took the time to carefully open and close each one (300 of them) before I passed them out to make sure they would work properly. I had about 10 that the plastic slider was split/broken or cracked. I'm sure the company will credit me, but I haven't called yet because since I ordered extra I didn't need them immediately and haven't had the time because of the holidays.

Not happy with this purchase
I bought this bag and some other goodies as a welcome to second grade gift for my new students. This bag was horrible! The "zipper" fell off of almost everyone of the 24 bags I bought before the first week of school was over! I feel like I absolutely wasted my money!!!

Not sure this was a good purchase
I was getting together a "treat bag" for my kids leaving me for Kindergarten, when I saw the smiley pencil cases. I thought that was a great idea to add to their treats. Then I saw the star bag for a little less $, so I purchased it instead. I don't like the way these close and I also don't like the fact that the sticker will not come off the bag very easily - I finally got them most the way off but it left a sticky mess. Also, one of my bags had a tear in it by the zipper and was not usable. I did give them in by treat bags but think I would look into purchasing the smiley ones in the future.

Star Pencil Cases
I have purchased pencil cases for my students every Christmas for years and have filled the cases with "necessities" for the new year -- pencils, erasers, paper clips, etc. I have purchased these STAR pencil cases for this year. They are very cute, and the colors are nice. However, I don't like the labels stuck to each pencil case. They do not pull off. I'm going to have to leave them on the cases, and I don't really like that. In the past I have given the SMILEY pencil pouches, and they didn't have the labels stuck to each one.
