AWESOME!!!
THIS WAS WONDERFUL ALL OF THE KIDS HAD A BLAST. THE ADULTS I THINK LIKED THE DESIGN MORE THAN THE KIDS I WAS SURPRISED AT HOW MUCH CANDY WOULD ACTUALLY FIT... I ONLY WISHED THAT I WOULD HAVE BROUGHT 2 OF THEM. I WILL DEFINITELY USE IT AGAIN.

Keep in mind only one side fills with candy
We bought this for my four year old's birthday party. As others have mentioned, it arrived with the back dented. This did not seem like a huge issue to us since you largely only look at the front and we hoped to push it out once we filled it with candy. Finding the hole, filling, and hanging was easy. It held up pretty well to the hits with the plastic bat and broke evenly across the seam (basically one half came off). So that was good. The only real negative of which I think those who purchase this should be aware is the construction. Basically it's a large sun shaped piece of cardboard with two half-spheres made of paper-mache attached to it. So, when you fill, you are only filling one side. There is not (built-in) a way to fill the other side, and since the two are not connected (cardboard in middle), it does not hold as much candy as you would think just by looking at it. Now, if you are like me you are thinking your kids get enough candy so it's no big deal. However, we only had four kids. I think if you had a lot more you would either need to 1) find a way to fill the front side (the side with the face on it) also so you had enough candy, or 2) find a way to cut a hole between the sides to put more candy in, or, 3) consider a different pinata. If there had been more than four kids this definitely would not have held enough candy. Otherwise, it was a cute pinata and the kids liked it.

Great Pinata
I bought this for a family fiesta party we had. It held quite a lot of candy without having to remove the center as some reviewers stated. We started with the smallest family member hitting (a 13 year old boy) and then 10 adults got to smack it before it finally broke apart. 3 adult men hit it very hard (one even broke the stick he was using) before it broke. It was great because everyone that wanted a turn got a chance to hit it before it broke. Then we still had the sun in 2 halves, one half was used to hold the candy and the other half (with the face) was used as a display. Great fun!

Squashed Sunshine
I ordered this adorable pinata and had to send it back because it came squished. Oriental Trading promptly sent a second that was unusable as well.

Good Deal
My coworker and I used this pinata for our group with kids. It was cute, a good size, and held more than enough candy for over 20 kids. We did not use it as the intended beat the thing with a stick method, so I cannot review it in that sense. We ripped holes and tossed it around like hot potato.
