Good quality but questionable anatomical correctness
The horses are nice quality. However, is it really necessary to have male horses with an obvious penis? I appreciate the anatomical correctness but I am giving these out to little kids and I doubt their parents are ready to explain the difference between colts and fillies. Is there any way to get all female horses? I'd feel much safer giving them out. Otherwise I'll have to geld each male horse or buy from another vendor.

Very cute horses - perfect for a cupcake topper.
The miniature toy horses are very cute. I used them at a luncheon and set one horse in front of each napkin (a red bandana) at each place setting. These horses would also fit nicely on a cupcake.

Worth the price for a small token toy
So, I wanted to review these because I almost didn't order because of some of the reviews. I stood them all up when I got them and Six out of 24 did not stand so about 75 percent will stand on there own. The colors on the grey ones are a little off but I wouldn't call it green or blue, more of an off grey color with a green or bluish tint. Overall they are nice looking for the price. They are not cartoonish but realistic renderings. These would work great for a cupcake topper! They do not fit in a standard Easter egg, you would have to get a jumbo size egg.

  • BEST ANSWER: I believe they can be spray painted. Water based paints will not adhere to the plastic. Sharpees can be used to add detail.

Will these fit into a standard plastic Easter Egg?

I bought a pack from another store online and it said they were 2 inches they didn't mention if it was height or length it turned out to be length and they were too small.

  • BEST ANSWER: I randomly pulled one out of my stock. This one is standing with his head up. From the bottom of his hoof to the tip of his ear is 1 7/8". From the bottom of his hoof to the top of his hip is 1 1/8". The length from the tip of his tail to the end of his outstretched nose is 2 1.2". The horses come in different postures so the measurements might differ by a fraction of an inch. Please click on the images to see the whole photo.
