Fun for 4 year olds
We used these in a class of 4 year olds. It was messy with sand getting all over - so I recommend having a broom handy or doing it outside in the grass. There are different panels to peel off and then you apply the sand you want. The kids didn't really get that concept and usually tore off all of the stickers and mixed the sand. So, you tended to lose the image But they had fun and a new experience and that is all I cared about.

Pretty Good
We used this project for a 4-H activity with kids ages 10-12. Sometimes the paper would peel the sticky part off and they had to glue the stick part back on. It is sometimes difficult to get the small pieces off to apply the sand. Have your vacuum available at all times. We started a container for mixed colors to use the sand later. You could spray a clear coat on for a more permanent project. Also, I think it would be wise to send a zipper lock bag to place the picture in for transportation so as not to get sand all over the car. :o)

It was a big hit!
This was a great craft. Kids of all ages were able to participate. It was fun and easy. We will be buying more kits like this one in the future.

Lots of fun and easy too!
The students had no problem working on the turkeys. No parent assistance needed for this project and they enjoy being "independent".

Kid Friendly Craft
I have used this craft for Thanksgiving and a Christmas version for my 1st grade Brownie troop and my 3rd grade class and all of the kids really liked it. You take off the yellow paper which reveals a sticky section to sprinkle the sand on. Everybody felt successful with this craft and got creative with the mixing of sand colors. The only problem was sometimes the yellow paper got stuck at the corners and the thin layer of the sticky part can come off with the paper if you're not careful. Otherwise it was very easy and successful; no other glue needed.
