marble columns
Bought the 6ft columns. They look good, they went together good, fairly sturdy, overall very pleased. My only complaint/suggestion is that they come in a taller version. A tall adult standing next to them makes the pillars look small.

Awesomeness
Just like I said on the other sizes, I bought this for my wedding. I LOOOOOVE them! Very real looking!

Elegant Columns
We ordered these for the entryway of the banquet hall for my daughter's sweet sixteen! Great price, nice quality, realistic looking marble.

next time read the description better
next time I buy something like this I will read the description better. I looked at them thinking they would be a plastic. they really look good in the picture. they are cardboard and yes you put them together. when I received this little flat box I knew I was in trouble. we did put them together but we had to use tape as we went, to keep them together. if the price was less it would be ok but I spent $60 on 2 sets and hope they make it thru the event. I have to laugh. the joke is on me.

You get what you pay for
They are cardboard and roll up with a top and bottom. We thought after our wedding we could use them as props in church programs and plays but they are too flimsy for that.

Perfect for my needs
I had been wondering how to make pillars for next year's VBS (Athens), and along came the OT catalogue. Ordered the pillars in all 3 sizes. They came quickly, were fairly easy to assemble, and are realistic enough for VBS. Some of the tabs had torn, but were easily fixed with packing tape. Using the two 6' pillars for trunk or treat also.

Not Good
The quality of this product is not good at all. As soon as I opened the box, I could tell. I plan to return it ASAP.

Not so good
We bought these (a 4ft pr & 6ft pr) just to see how well they look in person, not so good. They go together ok enough but are made of a poor quality thin corrugated cardboard, not even a thick grade. As a result of this and the way they are folder for shipping you see every cardboard looking wrinkle. If you are planning on draping them with lots of silky fabrics they might do the trick, but on their own they only look good from far away or in tiny catalog pictures. We¿¿¿re out $60.00 bucks, but probably not worth returning and we might get some use out of them, maybe for Halloween were quality wouldn¿¿¿t be as much of an issue like a special event such as a wedding. Also the free shipping really does take 10 days. We have already ordered one cloth column (from Oriental Trading) to see if we like that better.

Fit for a wedding!
I read the reviews before purchasing and took my chance of trying them out myself, to my satisfaction these columns (all sizes) have fooled several of my family as I had them setup with a beautiful crystal vase arrangement (my family actually thought the columns were real!!!). For the quality and price they serve the same purpose than renting them from the local florist. I have saved a ton of money with my do it myself wedding thanks to Oriental Trading!
