Nice glass beads
These glass star beads are a good size for earrings or to use with other beads for a pendant. A nice dark red color.

Not convinced it is really glass
These little stars seem much more like plastic than glass. I was hoping to use them with the lampwork glass beads, but they just are not the same quality. These are very cute for kids' jewelry, but not for adults. It is way too cheap looking. I have also chipped/broken a few while trying to make earrings with them because the corners of the stars are not a good quality. Also, in some parts the red is more clear and the color does not come through. I wanted to buy the blue to match, but will not waste my money now after seeing these.

Beads are just as shown. Great product at a good price!

I purchased these to make earrings for the 4th of July and must say I was very disappointed. Out of 25 beads that were suppposed to be there, there were only 224 and almostall of them were missing points from the stars and one was only half a bead. They were not all completely red either.

Color and Breakage issues
Only about half the beads were usable. The color was faded to yellow or clear at the tips and many beads had one or more tips broken off.

These looked like good beads to use for patriotic earrings but most of them were defective. The drilled hole was cracked and rough on most of them. I'd have to try and find a couple of decent ones from the batch but I still would not be happy with the quality. You get what you pay for.
I also ordered the clear and blue stars and they had the same problem.

I've ordered these in the past and was pleased, but this time the beads were in bad shape. Of the 25, only 4 were usable. Only portions of each star was red. The rest of each bead was clear (some had 80% red, others as little as 20%. Very inconsistent.). 21 stars had at least one tip broken off. It was a manufacturing flaw vs. damage in transit because there weren't any red glass shards in the bag. The one good thing about this situation...Oriental Trading stands behind their product and I have no doubt they will make this right. Hopefully this was just a bad batch.
