Like the Pencils Hate the Branding
We ordered a few different styles of pencils recently and while the quality is great on all of them, for some reason only this style arrived with a very visible "orientaltrading.com" wrapped around the top of the pencil. This was not present in the preview image and I'm pretty disappointed because I love the design but will probably not be able to use these (and will not be able to return them because they were a custom order).

quality pencils, funny message
I'm a middle school teacher and love to have fun... so I had them personalized to say "Stolen from Mrs. ____" The kids thought it was funny, and I passed them out to my teacher friends, too. Now the principal and the vice principal have contraband on their desks... ;) The best part was giving one to the nun who works as our accountant. (!) ;) She has a good sense of humor, too. It's nice to have a quality product that is useful and fun. I'm a little bit of a pencil snob, but I give these high marks! They sharpen well, write well, and best of all, the eraser works great! This isn't a smear-across-the-page-but-never-actually-erase kind of eraser!

Excellent!
I ordered these particular pencils because they would be a blue lettering with a white background and easy to read. They were exactly as I had ordered and exactly as advertised. Good quality with the correct number of pencils in the package.

Personalized Scribbles, Dots & Stripes Pencils
This is my fifth order of these pencils. Great quality, great design.. and perfect for adding in shipments to my customers. Only problem, the last order of personalized pencils (with my business web address) came with "orientaltrading.com" printed around the top of the pencils as well. I'm using these pencils to promote my business... not the business of Oriental Trading. If you don't mind having the Oriental Trading web address at the top of your "personalized" pencils.. you will be fine!

"Welcome to Mrs. Smith's 3rd Grade Class" has 39 characters and spaces as a sample, so why doesn't the personalization allow for that many? My name and grade won't even fit with 24. :( Can't OTC at least extend it to 30 letters/spaces?

  • BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, we cannot extend the amount of characters given for this item. However, some of our pencils do allow up to 30 characters. Please view the example item attached.

I can’t see a button to add these pencils to my cart. Amount selected, personalization completed, but no way to select them for purchase?

  • BEST ANSWER: There is a Preview It! button in blue. When you select that you double check the personalization and then click Looks accurate! That will give you a button to add the pencils to your cart.

Is there a plastic film wrap around the pencils? Or is the design more like painted on?

  • BEST ANSWER: The pencils I purchased had no plastic wrap. They sharpened beautifully and the lead was very good. I had no problems with them.

The website wants me to approve what I see, but the font is not changing to the color I choose. Can you please let me know if OTC will actually print the font in the color I choose? Thank you so much!
