Butterfly plastic bottles shatter easily
These butterfly sand bottles shatter when kids drop them. And they're full of sand of course. Imagine the fun of that clean up...while the kid is crying and saying "But can we make another one..??" when the answer is obviously NOPE because people don't just whip out sand art on the daily at their houses. I ran the Crafts rotation of Vacation Bible School this year and sand art has been one of our days for the past two years. Kids love it but I heard a lot of "mine broke" the next day.

Butterflies are beautiful
The children at our synagogue's Purim Festival really liked the butterflies except that it was difficult to get the sand in the top of the wings without shifting the bottle left and right which could mess up the design that they had already made.

The quality of the product
The butterflies were very fragile and cracked easily. I ordered 3 dozen and approx 1/3 were already cracked, or they cracked while we were making the project. Also, one funnel for 12 projects was very inconvenient. I wouldn't recommend these.

Cute butterfly bottles, but need to include the sand that goes inside the bottles!!!
I loved the bottles, but disliked the fact that the sand was not included in the purchased, also noticed only one funnel for the sand bottles. So if I made this a group project, I would have to purchase in addition to the sand, more funnels for each child to use. What an inconvenience !!! By looking at the picture in the Catalog I thought the sand was included when I order it. Somewhat misleading!

Decent for the price
The bottles were a hit with the kids who enjoyed filling them. Only problem is that upon opening the boxes a few of the butterflies were cracked and broken. I ordered 4 dozen and in total and had 8 butterflies that were unusable. Overall, for the price it was great. I just wish I had opened the boxes when I first got them, instead of waiting until the day of the party to open the boxes and find the broken ones. Thankfully I bought extras.

Cute but difficult
3 out of 24 had seam cracks and couldn't be used. They are very cute but it was extremely difficult for even the adults to get these completely full of sand r/t both sides being as tall as the top.

  • BEST ANSWER: Most do NOT - if it doesn't list it in product description assume no. The 12 pack of sand does a LOT of bottles
