Just ok
I ordered these to make on Father’s Day in our first grade Sunday school class as a gift for dads/grandfathers/uncles. I make the craft prior so I can explain the steps. I’m glad I opened it. The crafts are not as nice in quality as I expected. You need glue (which I knew when I ordered it). But the cross is just a piece of card stock with a few small seashells and craft sticks. I will have to either use glue dots/hot glue in order for it to dry. And it will definitely need some embellishment.

Great craft for 7 yr olds to adults
I bought 48 of these for 40 kids aged 2nd through 6th grade for VBS. The instructions were good, the kids loved putting them together, most of it is preglued, but we had small cups of white glue next to them so that they could use their fingers to add glue for the sand or for any piece that needed more glue. We had 15 to 18 minutes for them to make them and 99% of the kids got it done with little adult supervision. I would highly recommend this for anyone 7 to adult. Adults liked making it too.

There is sand (if you will) just don't tell kids!
These were cute and fun, a little hard to construct for little hands. I'm a perfectionist mom, but kids at party enjoyed. Everything comes with "pre-glue" so it doesn't always stay on. I would recommend pulling the "sand" out first before anyone sees it and then do the sand when kids are in the middle of something else.

Relatively Easy Craft with Meaning
I got these crosses for my five-year-old daughter to make as gifts for family members and her teachers (she goes to a Christian school). We love the crosses and of course the poem. My only complaint is that the adhesives do not stick well. I fixed this problem with some craft glue. I also found the string needs to be glued and not just using the adhesive. Everyone has loved their gift! I also had to help with gluing the sand onto the footprints so it would not be a huge mess.

Would this be a good craft for 5th & 6th graders? About how long does it take to assemble?
lns3037 | April 18th, 2018
  • BEST ANSWER: This craft may be too simple for 5/6th graders. It would only take them a few minutes to assemble.

would you give this as a Christmas gift?
dezm | July 9th, 2015
  • BEST ANSWER: It would really depend on the recipients. We can tell you that we have teachers who purchase products like this so their students can make them and give them as gifts to their family and loved ones. Additionally, some people do buy craft kids and bundle them together for gifts to their family and friends who enjoy crafting.
