These are no longer worth purchasing.
I have ordered from Oriental for over 20 years. I recently ordered 3 dozen of the magic coin tricks. I’ve ordered them before. I needed 22 but to be safe I ordered an extra set. They were HORRIBLE. Out of 36 only 7 worked. I took out sand paper and an xacto knife and managed to make 22 operable. The rest were trash-5 could not even open. I don’t know who is supplying these to Oriental but they are NOT WORTH buying. I would definitely have returned them if I hadn’t needed them in class.

Cute, but plan to get a couple extra
I needed 13 of these for my son's kindergarten class. I ordered two packs and good thing I had extras because a couple of the tricks didn't fit a quarter. Sure, you could use a nickel instead, but when the coin moves around you can hear it and kind of gives away the magic part of the trick (I know these are for kids and they will enjoy it even with the nickel used). These are easy to use and fun for 6-7 year olds.

first one had some extra plastic on slide part and would not open to put coin in; finally got apart and filed off the excess and works fine; will use with kids and bought enough to give out at birthdays.

Meh
These were okay. Maybe it was because the rest of my purchases were so disappointing that this wasn't enough to fix it. These were easy enough, but the coins didn't stay hidden and slid back while the kids were showing the trick, ruining the surprise. Not sure if I would purchase again.

do they come with instructions for each one?

  • BEST ANSWER: We apologize this item does not come with instructions. 1. Remove slider from box. 2. Insert a quarter into the hole on top of the slider 3. On each of the short sides of the slider is a small square hole. One hole will be open and the other will be covered. Insert the slider back into the box with closed hole first. 4. Pull the slider back out. The quarter has disappeared. 5. To bring the quarter back, flip the slider around and insert back into the box. Pull the slider back out. The quarter has reappeared.
