Need these to hold plants. Will they leak when watered? Will they rust? Thanks!

BEST ANSWER: other galvanized buckets I have purchased for floral arranging do not leak- although these are so small that the plant you are putting in there will need to be repotted soon- so it will most likely not stay in this container very long, hence they won't rust..I am also using them for small succulents for a wedding, I am not worried about leakage or rust..
I'm working on putting together craft ideas for our upcoming pioneer-themed Vacation Bible School and wondered how difficult it would be to punch holes in these with a hammer and nails for pretty "punched tin" art. Is the material on the bucket thin enough for a nail to punch through without too much effort?

BEST ANSWER: The buckets are made of thin tin. We suggest ordering one unit to see if they will work for you.
This description makes it sound like there is more than 1 unit. How many do you get for $8.87?

BEST ANSWER: I don't think these are big enough for votive candles, and the metal would get scorching hot quickly- I would say no..
