This truly is the mist-making apparatus itself without any bells and whistles! You have to put this in a place where it's hidden, but shallow enough for the mist to roll over the top of the container of water and make it's way across a table top or surface. I bought the light up T-Rex skeleton head here from Oriental Trading and my plan is to put the mist-maker inside the lower jaw and let the mist roll out of his mouth. The entire maker has to be submerged in water, but too deep of a bowl and the mist gets trapped inside it. So, experiment with different containers you have to get the right effect. This plugs into an outlet so be sure to position it close to one.

No mist!
Yes there is lights, yes it arrived quickly. However there is NO mist what so ever...just splashing water all over my table. This has been the third time I have bought a misting unit for my bowl, different companies. Never had this happen before. I got it for the mist...not the lights.

Didn't work as expected
This didn't create enough mist to even cover the unit, let alone a table. To operate, it needs to be submerged in water and it can get messy as it sprays water upward as it tries to create mist. Also, it kept floating up in the water and turning over. Very difficult to work with.
