Why am I not allowed to add an apostrophe on the name?

BEST ANSWER: Why am I not allowed to add an apostrophe to the persons name? Ex: Mel’s Movie screening. It says no international symbols. So it would have to say Mels
Why can you not use apostrophes? I see that I am not the only person that has run into this issue so why has no one answered anyone’s question?
